This privacy policy applies across all websites that we own and operate and all services that we provide, including business support services, events, training and any other services we may provide. For the purpose of this notice we will refer to them as our “Services”.

When we refer to “Business Hawke’s Bay”, “we” or “us” we mean the incorporated society, Business Hawke’s Bay, which is the Hawke’s Bay region’s business led economic development agency.

When we refer to “personal information” we mean identifiable information about you, for example your name, email, address, telephone number, credit card details etc.


1. The purpose of this privacy policy is to let users of our Services know when we collect personal information and what we do with it. We do not use, share or transfer personal information in connection with our Services except as set out in this policy.

This policy may change from time to time so please reread this policy periodically.


2. No need to disclose personal information: Our Services can be accessed without the need for you to disclose any personal information to us.

3. Your disclosure of personal information: However, you may choose to disclose personal information e.g. when you register for an event or submit a room booking enquiry. Such information will be viewable by administrators of our Services and contractors (including third parties providing services related to the administration, improvement, and/or securing of our Services and the information it contains (“Third Party Contractors”)) and, if published, members of the public (e.g. when listing a co-working space.)

4. Holding of information: Personal information that you provide will be held by Business Hawke’s Bay, and may be shared with, and held by, Third Party Contractors to the extent necessary for the services they provide related to the administration, improvement, and/or securing of our Services and the information they contain. Email addresses provided when completing online forms, registering for events or when emailing feedback directly to Business Hawke’s Bay are not made available to the public. Unless required by law, we will not publicise the names or email addresses of individuals provided to us without their consent.

5. How we use your personal information: We may use your personal information provided to us for the purposes of administering, evaluating, improving, and securing our Services and the information they contain, improving our services and communicating with you.

Your rights Under the Privacy Act 1993: You have the right to access and to request correction of any of your personal information provided to Business Hawke’s Bay in connection with your use of our Services.
